A Beginning

An instrumental  George Martin composed to introduce Ringo Starr’s first solo composition, “Don’t Pass Me By.” It was to be included on the original “The Beatles (White Album)” LP in 1968

However, it was used to cue “Eleanor Rigby” in the film Yellow Submarine.”

Eventually, it was included, as originally intended, along with “Don’t Pass Me By” on the 50th Anniversary release of The Beatles (White Album) in 2018 – See 2nd video above.
