The last known event was on Saturday December 9 1961, when The Beatles performed there. After this event, no further bookings were made, and it effectively ceased to function as a ballroom. The building was later burned down in 1973. The current building on that corner is the West End Centre (an arts and entertainment venue) at 48 Queens Road, Aldershot, GU11 3JD
